The BNB Santoku is an 8" vegetable slicer and all around capable chef knife.
 
1084 carbon steel quench hardened and tempered to HRC of 59-62. Handle is Purple Heart sandwiched between brass spacers and Red Heart.

This product is made to order and lead time will be about 3-4 weeks.

  • Purple heart, brass spacer and redheart with a brass pin and fitting dowel as well as an epoxy internal casting makes for a hidden tang that will never get loose.

    Hand wash only. Not dishwasher safe. A go in the dishwasher will cause warping in the wood which will cause the handle to delaminate.

    DRY AFTER WASHING. Carbon steel will rust if not dried after washing.

    Product will petina with use. A badge of honor and a testament to how the owner uses their tool. Petina on carbon steel blades is natural, harmless and pretty. If you want to restore some shine to your carbon steel blade after petina build up just use an abrasive sponge.
